SWEET RICE PULAO( ZARDA)




ZARDA PULAO | SWEET RICE PULAO |YELLOW RICE PULAO

Prepartion Time : 15 mins
Cooking Time : 25 min
Serves : 4 ppl

INGREDIENTS REQUIRED
Rice 200 gms ( 1 CUP  soaked for 1/2 an hour)
Sugar 150 gms
Saffron 10-15 strands
Water 4 cups
Cashew Nuts 20 nos
Almonds 20 nos
Resins 20 nos
Ghee 4 table spoon
Khoya ( Mawa) 1/2 Cup
Cardamon 4-5 nos
Cloves 4-5 nos
Bay Leaf 1 nos
Cinnamon 1 inch stick
Milk 1/2 cup


STEPS TO DELICIOUS ZARDA PULAO | SWEET RICE PULAO
  1. Add soaked rice and saffron in the boiling water. Cook rice till it is 80% done. Strain the excess water. Keep it aside.
  2. Take a broad pan. Stir fry all the nuts (Almonds, Cashew and Resins ).
  3. Add ghee + cardamon + cloves+ bay leaf + cinnamon stick, Saute a little.
  4. Now we will start layering the pulao. Add half the quantity of rice. Top it with half the quantity of sugar+ 1 tbsp ghee + half  the quantity of mawa (khoya) + Fired nuts (dry fruits). All the ingredients should be sprinkled uniformly. 
  5.  Similarly layer it again with rest of the material. 
  6. Add half cup of milk to the pan.
  7. Cover the lid and cook it for 20 min at low flame.
Your delicious Zarda Pulao is ready. Enjoy it.. !
