ZARDA

INGREDIENTS REQUIRED
| Rice | 200 gms ( 1 CUP soaked for 1/2 an hour) |
| Sugar | 150 gms |
| Saffron | 10-15 strands |
| Water | 4 cups |
| Cashew Nuts | 20 nos |
| Almonds | 20 nos |
| Resins | 20 nos |
| Ghee | 4 table spoon |
| Khoya ( Mawa) | 1/2 Cup |
| Cardamon | 4-5 nos |
| Cloves | 4-5 nos |
| Bay Leaf | 1 nos |
| Cinnamon | 1 inch stick |
| Milk | 1/2 cup |
STEPS
TO DELICIOUS ZARDA PULAO | SWEET RICE PULAO
- Add soaked rice and saffron in the boiling water. Cook rice till it is 80% done. Strain the excess water. Keep it aside.
- Take a broad pan. Stir fry all the nuts (Almonds, Cashew and Resins ).
- Add ghee + cardamon + cloves+ bay leaf + cinnamon stick, Saute a little.
- Now we will start layering the pulao. Add half the quantity of rice. Top it with half the quantity of sugar+ 1 tbsp ghee + half the quantity of mawa (khoya) + Fired nuts (dry fruits). All the ingredients should be sprinkled uniformly.
- Similarly layer it again with rest of the material.
- Add half cup of milk to the pan.
- Cover the lid and cook it for 20 min at low flame.
Your delicious Zarda Pulao is ready. Enjoy it.. !
